Ronaldo and Arsenal fan Morgan have long been friends and this week the latter headed to the Middle East, where he twice saw the Portuguese in action. The 39-year-old admitted it was "fantastic" to catch up with Morgan and the broadcaster was equally gushing about the football icon and even sympathised with the forward for having a goal ruled out against Al-Raed.

WHAT CRISTIANO RONALDO SAID
He wrote on Instagram: "It’s always fantastic to catch up with my good friend @piersmorgan."
Morgan posted on his own page: "I ended my Saudi trip how I started it.. with the best footballer in history, my great mate @cristiano – this time, at his wonderful home in Riyadh. He challenged me to a game of Padel on his private court but I said I didn’t want to embarrass him with my elite world class athleticism… 🤣."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ronaldo is still going strong as he nears his 40th birthday. The former Real Madrid man is trying to lift another trophy, this time with Al-Nassr, and he is still breaking new records along the way.
